A Letter to the Girl I Was When I Started Skylie

Dear Asia,
You didn’t know who you were becoming when you started Skylie.
You just knew you wanted more…more freedom, more alignment, more out of life than what you were seeing in front of you. You loved everything girly and knew you wanted to work in a space that made you feel just that.
You were scared, even when you didn’t say it out loud.
You questioned if you were ready, if you were good enough, if people would take you seriously. And yet… you showed up anyway. That alone says more about you than you ever realized at the time.
You started before you had everything figured out.
Before the confidence was solid.
Before the vision was fully clear.
Before the support was loud.
There were moments you felt like you were building in silence, watching others be celebrated while you quietly laid foundation after foundation. Moments when you wondered if the work was even being seen. Moments when quitting felt easier than continuing.
But what you didn’t see then was that every late night, every doubt, every small win was shaping you. Strength was being built in places no one else could see. Discipline was forming. Trust in yourself was growing, even when it didn’t feel like it.
If I could sit across from you now, I’d tell you this:
You were never behind.
You were becoming.
You learned so much along the way Asiab.
I’d tell you that the confusion was part of the calling. That the discomfort was proof you were expanding. That the patience you were learning would become one of your greatest assets.
You didn’t fail, you evolved.
You didn’t move slowly, you moved intentionally.
And every version of you that felt unsure was still necessary to create the woman you’re becoming now.
Skylie didn’t just grow a brand.
It grew you.
So thank you.. for choosing courage over comfort.
For trusting a vision before it made sense.
For believing in yourself on the days when no one else did.
And if you’re reading this and you feel like you’re at the beginning, this letter is for you too. The quiet seasons matter. The unseen work counts. And the woman you’re becoming is already proud of you.
Keep going.
With love,
The woman you’re becoming through Skylie
